JanuaryPitt-Bradford FAFSA Completion Night-Bradford

The University of Pittsburgh-Bradford financial aid staff will hold a FAFSA Completion night on campus at the McDowell Fitness Center Computer Lab on Thursday, January 23, from 6-8pm. The session will enable families to complete the FAFSA online with some assistance from the staff. Those interested should bring their 2023 Federal Tax return with related W-2 Forms. Families must also bring both student and parent FSA usernames and passwords. Both student and at least one parent must be present to complete their portions of the form. The Roulette Fire Hall will host a Designer Purse Bingo on Saturday, January 25. Doors open at 11:30am, and bingo starts at 1. FebruaryLearn to Skate Lessons at the William O. Smith Recreation Center

Learn to Skate Lessons will take place the first three Saturdays in February at the William O. Smith Recreation Center in Olean. The lessons take place February 1, 8 and 15, from noon-1pm. Cost of the lessons is $30, which includes the skate rental. You can register by calling the Rec Center at (716) 373-RINK. Registration is not required.

The William O. Smith Recreation Center in Olean is now scheduling School Ice Skating Parties. The available times are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from noon-2pm. The cost is $3 per student, which includes admission and skate rentals. Children are encouraged to bring their own skates if they have them, as skate sizes are limited. January - AprilChildren's Workshops at Pitt-Bradford

The University of Pittsburgh-Bradford has scheduled a series of monthly smART workshops, a free, hands-on art series for children in Pre-K thru 4th Grade. These workshops will be held on Saturday mornings from 10-11, in Blaisdell Hall on the Pitt-Bradford Campus. Each session is designed in inspire curiosity, encourage self-expression, and bring families closer together. The Workshops are as follows:
January 18: Theatre Workshop…kids will dive into acting, creative movement and improv exercises.
February 8: Story and Craft Adventures…Books come to life, with children creating a unique piece of artwork after reading a book
March 8: Clay Creatures and Stories…It’s a hands-on session that teaches children how to mold air-dry clay.
April 12: Music: this workshop takes kids on a global journey to explore unique instruments from around the world.

The Shinglehouse Masons will be serving up Fish Frys on Fridays starting February 28th, going weekly until April 18th. There’s a choice of fried fish, or four types of Baked Fish. Dinners are $14 for adults, and $9 for children…take-outs are available. Dinners are available between 4-7pm, at the Masonic Hall, 136 North Oswayo Street.
