2nd Annual Adult Prom

The 2nd Annual “Adult Prom” to benefit foster care in Cattaraugus will be held on August 9, from 6-11pm at Woodside Taver on the Range. Humphrey Volunteer Fire Company's Annual Blueberry Day

SWNY-NWPA Men's Amateur Golf Tournament Information

The annual Southwestern New York/Northwestern Pennsylvania Men’s Amateur Tournament is set to take place at Olean’s Bartlett County Club from Wednesday, August 6 through Sunday, August 10.  The entry fee for the tournament is $160, and includes at least two rounds of golf and a dinner Wednesday afternoon, following qualifying.  The Men’s Amatuer will also feature the Past Winners Shootout, set to take place Tuesday, August 5.   Along with the normal flights, there are special consolation brackets, and a 65 and over bracket.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit four local charities:  The Rehabilitation Center, HomeCare & Hospice, Brady’s Cause, and the Olean General Hospital Foundation.  Proceeds also pay the entry fees for 15 players who qualify from the Penn-York Junior Golf League, and the John Henzel Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a golfer or golfers from a Big 30 School.

Genesee Library Community Picnic

Frank Williams Memorial Golf Tournament

Heroic Heath Cans of Hope Can Drive

A group called “Heroic Heath Cans of Hope” have started a can drive donation effort to help fund several organizations that support local non-profit programs that help cancer patients and their families.  Donations of cans will be accepted at two businesses:  The Allegany Beverage & Redemption Center, 3250 NYS Route 417, in Olean, and the Portville Tollgate Redemption Center, 489 Portville-Ceres Road in Portville.   When turning in your cans, you must specify that they are for the Heroic Heath Cans of Hope.  The group will also accept Venmo Donations to:  @Julie-Kenyon-66.  Can Donations will be accepted through Setember 13.

Proceeds from the donations will help support Wings Flights of Hope; Camp Good Days; Keeley Kares For Kids, and the Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation.

Cattaraugus County Health Department Free Rabies Clinics
